About Me

Manuj’s journey into AI started 20 years ago when he bought his first AI book from a roadside shop in Old Delhi. Ever since he followed the road less traveled and believed in doing things differently by taking risks on innovation and emerging technologies.

In the last 20 years, Manuj has championed 2 startups - including India’s first AI and game programming school in 2006 viz. S.A.G.E Infolabs and KODE Academy, lead, consulted and coached many businesses, academia and individuals in India, Singapore and Indonesia in emerging technologies such as (Serious) Games, Simulations and his latest love - Data Science. Manuj is a self-taught lifelong-learner who believes in a hands-on approach to technical management and leadership.

In Singapore, Manuj was involved in hands-on development and mentoring of the fusion of AI with serious games to develop socially beneficial simulations which help children of special needs such as ADHD to live a normal life. Manuj has presented and championed the cause of innovation in many Singapore government bodies. He also mentored many senior professors and school students alike.

Manuj has recently consulted for Northcap University to revamp their Data Science vertical. This involved the development of more than 2000 hours of innovative Data Science training material and also the upskilling of their entire Data Science fraternity including PhDs. This work immediately benefited more than 500 students and continues to help more. In 2020, under his technical leadership the undergraduate program by The NorthCap University was rated to have one of the best pedagogy scores with over 1200 live classroom sessions. It also has one of the best graduation outcomes with the programme completion rate of 96-99% with the average placement rate of all batches of the programme till date to be 99%. Many trained students have gone to win prestigious Data Science competitions with flying colours. It was ranked one of the best in terms of pedagogy and fifth overall pan India.

Manuj also served as Director of Development for a New Zealand based company NZ Technologies where he was involved in the development of fifteen projects on emerging mobile technologies.

Manuj believes that a revolution in how we educate our next generation is in order, and that its a question of survival for every student to become Data literate, no matter what profession they choose to undertake. Towards that end, he continues to research and develop methods to make next generation of technologies easier to comprehend, grasp and apply by every student.

When he is not playing with Data or his daughter, he loves to play retro video games, research Emerging Technologies, study Probability and Statistics, analyze risk markets and trade.

Manuj is an Indian national who can speak Hindi, English and Coding.
