About the Course

There are four functional roles in Data Science, namely, Business Analyst, Data Analyst, Machine Learning Engineer and Data Engineer. The BIID track targets the Business Analyst role. This course is the continuation of your BIID learning journey to master the skills needed to become an efficient Business Analyst and Information Designer. This is an advance level course and it builds upon your knowledge that you gained in part 2 : Business Intelligence and Information Design : Intermediate : BIID201.

The role of a Business Analyst is to process and analyze business data and present it using concise and effective data visualizations to decision-makers so they can make meaningful business decisions.

Designing effective data visualizations is an art form. They can capture the viewer’s emotions and attention and direct them to hidden patterns which are difficult or impossible to visualize just by looking at raw data. You don’t need to be an artist to create these amazing Data Visualizations. All you need is some creativity and skill imparted by this course!

Prerequisites

  • Basic arithmetic skills - Brackets, division, multiplication, addition, subtraction
  • Ability to operate a computer, keyboard and mouse
  • Ability to use a web browser to access and use the internet
  • Ability to install software on your computer
